Everything between your product and your customer.

We find the packaging problem, design the fix and write the spec. Our partners supply the materials, the machines and the kits. You get one contact for all of it, starting with a free consult.

Most packaging problems cross material, labor and machine: a cushion that saves a dollar can cost two in pack time. We look at all three.

What we do

Packaging solutions

Free consult

A working session on your product, your packaging and what it costs you today.

Packaging materials

Corrugate, foam, film, tape and void fill, sized and shaped to fit your product.

Packaging equipment

The right machine for your volume, from a better hand tool to a full packing line.

Cold chain

Insulated shippers and refrigerants sized for your temperature, time in transit and lane.

Kitting

Multi-part packaging that arrives as one item, ready to pack.

Test decks

Custom test packages for proving out conveyor and sortation systems.

Talk to us about your packaging. No charge. Free

Bring the product, the problem and what it costs you today. We look at the whole system (material, labor to pack it, freight and how often it fails) and tell you what we would change and what we would leave alone. Depending on the problem, a consult can include:

A packaging review

On site, or from photos and video: how it’s packed, who packs it, how long it takes and what gets damaged.

A cost per shipped unit

Material, labor and freight together. The line nobody watches is often the largest.

Samples

So you can try the real part on your product before you order.

A check of the packaging you already use

For temperature-sensitive product, a data logger in a shipment you already send.

A pack-station review

Where a fixture, a machine or a pack-out change would pay, and where it wouldn’t.

How we give advice

How an engagement runs

The same four stages, whether the answer is a new pouch size or a new packing line.

  1. Consultation. The product, the problem and what it costs you today, measured before anything changes. You get a problem statement and a baseline cost.
  2. Testing. Samples, test builds and, when you need a formal report, third-party testing. You get a summary that separates what was measured from what was estimated.
  3. Implementation. A written pack-out spec with drawings, equipment set-up and operator training, then support on the first run. You get a spec your team can pack to.
  4. Maintenance. Service, consumables and re-quotes as costs move. You get a named contact.

Custom test decks for conveyor and sortation commissioning

A test deck is a set of packages built to known sizes and weights, so an automated facility can be tested at full speed before it opens. Every deck is custom, engineered and quoted to your spec.

Each package has to:

Who it’s for: parcel carriers, distribution and fulfillment centers, conveyor and sortation integrators, equipment makers validating scales and scanners, and 3PL and ecommerce operations testing new lines.

How it runs: your spec becomes a quantity plan for your approval; we engineer each package, prototype it and test it; our partners build the deck; every piece is checked before it ships; and you receive the build and load documentation.

Delivered through our partners

Materials, equipment, cold chain and kitting

We specify what you need, our partners deliver it, and we answer for how it performs.

Packaging materials, made to fit

Corrugated boxes and trays, foam inserts and pads, films and bags, tape and strapping, void fill and insulated packaging. Our partners supply and convert them, so you receive a part that fits the product instead of material you still have to work.

Lower-impact options: using less material is usually the biggest win. Right-sized boxes, recyclable fiber and paper, molded fiber in place of plastic, and formats that ship flat.

Ask for samples

Packaging equipment for the line you actually run

Machines that close, bag, wrap, bundle, stretch-wrap, strap, cushion and convey. We help you choose the machine and check that it pays; our partners supply, install and service it.

One step at a time: manual with good fixtures, then semi-automatic, then automatic, then an integrated line. Sometimes the right answer is a better fixture, not a machine.

  1. Application study. Your products, target rate, changeovers, space and who will run it.
  2. Trial run. Your product on the machine before you commit.
  3. Payback. Labor and material saved, from timed studies, not brochure rates.
  4. Install and train. Set-up, operator training and a written procedure.
  5. Maintain. Service, parts and consumables.

Cold chain and insulated packaging

Insulated shippers, refrigerants and pack-outs for frozen, refrigerated and room-temperature product. We size the shipper and write the pack-out; our partners supply the materials and run formal tests when you need a report.

When a shipment arrives warm, we check the simple causes first (how the refrigerant was prepared, where the logger sat, how it was packed, the real transit time and temperature) before anyone sells you a bigger box.

Kitting: one item to receive, ready to pack

Our partners assemble multi-part packaging kits: insulated shippers with liners in place, foam insert sets, tray assemblies, and bag-and-carton kits. Your team receives one item instead of several, and packs instead of builds. Every kit is written into a spec with labels, quality checks and pallet patterns.

Why we ask about order size: setup time is the same for a small release and a large one, so small releases cost more per unit. We quote in tiers by release size and show you what combining small orders is worth.

What we’ll ask

Don’t have all of it? Start anyway. Finding the missing pieces is part of the consult.

Any project

  • Product size and weight, or a sample
  • Photos of how it’s packed today
  • Monthly volume and typical order size
  • What it costs today, if you know
  • Damage, returns or failures in the last year
  • Who packs it, and roughly how long it takes
  • The one thing you’d most like to improve

Temperature-sensitive product

  • Temperature range: frozen, 2–8 °C or 15–25 °C
  • Hours door to door, plus the margin you want
  • Where it ships from and to
  • Whether it’s packed cold or warm
  • Your current shipper and refrigerant
  • How many you ship a week or month
  • Paperwork your customer or auditor requires

Questions

Is the packaging consult really free?

Yes. If you want a formal third-party test report, we’ll quote it before anything is booked.

Do I need to know what I want?

No. Bring the product and the problem. Most projects start as “this keeps breaking” or “this takes too long to pack.”

Can you look at the packaging I already use?

Yes, and we usually start there. Sometimes it shows the current package is fine.

Is this only for big programs?

No. Sometimes the right fix is a fixture, a pack-out change or moving one gel pack.

Who makes the materials and runs the machines?

Our partners. Moon Set does the advice and the specs, and stays your contact.

Can you build test decks to our specification?

Yes. Every test deck is custom, engineered and quoted to your spec, and we handle revisions as your package mix changes.
